Really well-written Aziz profile. Funny how odd it seems to read A-grade comprehensive journalism in the current world of C-grade mini information packets. azizisbored: Aziz Ansari plays winning losers in NBC’s ‘Parks and Recreation’ and Judd Apatow’s ‘Funny People’ My favorite thing about this profile of me, is the fact that this sentence was printed in the Wall Street Journal: [I]n recent...

Original Margaritaville Frozen Drink Machine -... →
Follow-up to my South Park post earlier. I’m definitely getting the $329 machine, I’m just not sure if I should get the $69.50 upgrade, which steamlines the process of making multiple drinks at the same time. Either way, this thing is definitely worth the money. What else would I use to make a margarita? A blender??

South Park - Margaritaville →
Sometimes I forget how amazing South Park is. Then I’ll watch an episode and be instantly reminded. On last night’s episode, Matt and Trey came through on their trademark ability to take a complex current issue and boil it down to a storyline that not only sums it up, but is funny to a large age range. Check it out here if you missed it.

Public Outrage
Some good commentary from BustedTees’ own Josh Mohrer. The AIG bonus outrage is to be expected from an emotional public, but that doesn’t make it correct.  The solution of picking on random people we have angry feelings towards by taxing their legally earned income 100% upsets the foundations of economics on which our entire system is built. We’re getting into very dangerous...

– Deadline Hollywood Daily » Problems With NBC’s ‘Parks & Recreation’ Let me say for the record that I think Aziz is not only datable, but relationship-able. These focus group tests results are the most fun thing to read ever. Here’s an actual line from early focus group testing for...

– Systemic Failure - Pat Buchanan My dad always sends me these Pat Buchanan articles. I like picking through them and see what I agree/disagree with. I think the above quote makes sense, though his discussion about the financial sector offering sub-prime loans because politicians pressured them to is...

CollegeHumor Show Tonight
The episode that airs tonight is actually the pilot we shot and used to sell the show to MTV. Thus, it’s a bit different in format and style than the other shows. And everybody looks different. But still a good episode. It stars my friend Rachel Specter in the role of “hot girl in a wheelchair.” Check it out!

SXSW Panel
I’m hosting a panel at SXSW Interactive this year. It’s on Saturday March 14th at 5pm. If you’re going, come join us. We’ll be talking about comedy on the web and TV and hopefully that will lead into a larger discussion about where we’re headed in a broader sense for filmed entertainment. I’ve put together a great group of friends which I chose with the...
